Graduate Intraday Trader (m/f/d)

Your mission

As a Graduate Intraday Trader (m/f/d) at Convex Energy, you will become part of our intraday trading team. You'll gain invaluable hands-on trading experience and actively stay informed on the latest industry trends. With the guidance of experienced professionals, you will have the opportunity to impact our business, develop your skills and advance your career in a challenging and exciting environment.


  • You are at the forefront of the energy trading industry by trading on physical power markets across Europe.
  • You will make quick, decisive trading decisions based on time-sensitive market information in a fast-paced and volatile trading environment.
  • When not actively trading, you will collaborate with a cross-functional expert team to conduct in-depth market analysis to enhance overall trading performance.  
  • You think one step ahead by taking a data-driven approach to studying market trends and back-test trading strategies during non-trading hours.
  • You participate in our trading team's shift rotation.
Your profile
  • You have a Master's degree in a related field, such as Economics, Finance, or Business.
  • You have a strong interest in the energy markets and trading.
  • You are proficient in Excel and VBA; proficiency in Python is a plus.
  • You maintain a high level of focus in volatile and stressful situations.
  • You are decisive and possess a mindset that helps you overcome challenges.
  • Ideally, you have gained first experience in fields such as online poker, sports betting, cryptocurrencies, stock- or FX trading.
