Working Student - Data Analytics

Your mission

As a Working Student in Data Analytics at Convex Energy, you'll have the opportunity to dive into the realm of energy trading alongside a dedicated team of professionals. This role is tailored for students eager to jumpstart their careers in the energy industry, providing exposure to both trading and analytical research aspects.

Your Role:

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analysing raw energy market data.
  • Support automation efforts for trading analysis.
  • Analyse market data to identify patterns and anomalies.
  • Perform quality checks on data sources which includes raw, new, and existing data stored in our system.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Assist in ad-hoc data analysis projects as needed.
Your profile


  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Econometrics).
  • Strong interest in learning about energy trading.
  • Proficiency in numerical analysis with a keen attention to detail.
  • Good programming skills in Python, SQL, and VBA are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
